Below is a list of status ailments and status buffs that can be applied to both playable characters and enemies.

Status Ailments[]

Paralysis-like effects[]

Each of these status ailments can be used to delay action of the enemy, or prevent action of party members.

Knockout Knockout Cannot act until revived + No EXP gain.
Stun Stun Cannot act for the remainder of the turn.
Frozen Frozen Cannot act + Evasion down, DEF/MDF up.
Sleep Sleep Cannot act + Evasion down, 5% PL. regen.
Golden Golden Cannot act + Evasion down.
Trapped Trapped Cannot act or escape + 5% K.O. chance.


Stats lowered[]

Each of these status ailments can be used to decrease stats for a certain amount of turns and otherwise affect the enemy, pulse being included in such stats.

Poison Poison 5% Pulse (4-5 turns).
Burning Burning 10% Pulse (2-3 turns).
Winded Winded ATK/MAT/DEF/MDF/AGI stats lowered.
Drenched Drenched Acts last, harder to land moves.
Strain Strain Hit chance reduced by 25%.
Shock Shock Hit chance reduced by 50%.
Fear Fear ATK/MAT/DEF/MDF stats lowered.
Blind Blind Less likely to land hits.
Oily Oily Highly susceptible to fire damage.


Skills lost[]

Each of these status ailments can be used to remove autonomy of party members, occasionally enemies, and limit the available skills and battle options.

Heartache Heartache Uncontrollably attack anyone (2-4 turns).
Silence Silence Seals skills (3-5 turns).
Confused Confused Uncontrollably attack anyone (1-2 turns).
Fascination Fascination Uncontrollably attack allies (2-4 turns).
Drained Drained Lose element + Cannot use core skills.


Status Buffs[]

Defense / Evasion[]

Each of these status buffs can be used to increase stats– in particular, defense and evasion– for a certain amount of turns. Unable to be applied to enemies by the party like other status ailments.

Echo Echo 50% Chance to reflect spells.
Deafening Echo Deafening Echo 100% Chance to reflect spells.
Camoflage Camouflage Less likely to be targeted.
Incognito Incognito Much less likely to be targeted.
Trick Trick 50% Evasion rate.
Illusion Illusion 75% Evasion rate.
Magic Evade Magic Evade Magical moves cannot land on target.
Ironbody Ironbody Physical moves only do 10% damage.


Attack[]

Many of these status buffs can be used to increase or affect the attack stat for a certain amount of turns. Unable to be applied to enemies by the party like other status ailments.

Divided Divided Can attack twice (1-3 turns).
Double-Up Double-up Can attack twice (3 turns).
Counterattack Counterattack Parries all physical moves.
Aiming Aiming Never miss next attack + ATK boosted.
Midnight Howl Midnight Howl Next attack does 200% damage.


Both Effects, Misc[]

The rest of the in-game status buffs have miscellaneous effects that cannot be easily categorized.

Fury Fury Slightly harder to hit + ATK boosted.
Elem Resist Elemental Resist Elemental moves only do 10% damage.
Ailment Guard Ailment Guard Protected from common maladies.
Provoke Provoke More likely to be targeted.
BT Cost Down Beat Cost Down Skills cost less BEAT.
PL Regen Vitalize Pulse Regen/ Vitalize Heal 10% PULSE every turn.
Cover Cover Take damage for an ally.
